Urban festival graffiti logo
🏆 We received a design award! (Super proud)
Some projects don't make it. It can be because of a change in the scope, the client decided to work with someone else, or the project being on hold indefinitely. It happens. Life is unpredictable, and the last years are living proof of that.
🪦 For these types of designs, we jokingly say that we ship them to the "design graveyard".Sea Vibes was one of them, but not exactly.
🌊 The Sea Vibes Urban Culture festival was to take place in Burgas, Bulgaria, in the summer of 2020 before the lockdown occurred. The organizer set up a design competition, and we decided to flex our design muscles.
We went for a modular logo that allowed us to show all the activities in the festival - skateboarding competitions, graffiti artwork, basketball games and music concerts. Using clean and simple typography and symbols, we aimed to communicate the brand and inform visitors, providing brand visibility with every logo.
Long story short - we didn't win the competition and thought to put the project to sleep, but we liked it so much that we decided to publish it on Behance.Forward to 2022 and the award. In 2022, Design Rush believed this concept to be so great that we received a design award for the best dynamic logo as part of their logo design awards.
If these were the Aesop Fables, the moral would be "Que sera, sera." Whatever will be, will be.
Believe in your work and show it, no matter the opinion of others, be they your client. Great work is still great work.
