Eggalo • Authentic Cretan Cheese Making

The art of cheesemaking in Crete is very popular. Mostly of sheep and goats milk. Eggalo in Cretan Greek translates into the good sheep producing milk. Being very deep into the quality of the raw materials used, the logo needed to symbolize the source of the milk, the sheep and the goats, that’s why two lines were designed in the shape of the animals’ horns but also the human aspect of the shepherd’s crook that looks alike.
