I wonder if guys are better designers?
This was a comment posted on Webflow’s blog - a post showcasing unique portfolio sites built in Webflow. The majority of designers featured were guys. For sure, men are making exceptional work with Webflow. Super cool. But visible doesn’t equal better. Here’s my response to that comment 👇🏾👇🏿👇🏻

OH. MY. GOODNESS. NO.
I have high hopes for the Webflow community - I know more women will get involved - their product is too awesome for that not to happen. I'm inclined to think - guy's talent does get highlighted a lot on here - but that boils down to confidence not capability. My own hope and mission would be to encourage female designers to get stuck into Webflow.
As with other tech scenes - women, for sure, show up - it just takes time to happen - rather than a lack of ideas, innovation and talent. My other curious question - of sites that get showcased on this blog - how many belong to people of colour? 👩🏿🎨👨🏽🎨👩🏽🎨 That's not the content editor's bias! It's the culture around a community. THAT takes time AND encouragement to catch up and become truly diverse.
So encourage people you think aren't being showcased to learn Webflow. Surely that benefits everyone?
