Thank you for feeding Freckle by Cheyney McDonnell

BIG announcement! It’s official. Soon I will be a published Author/Illustrator and I could not be more excited about it.

Last year Five Mile, (a publishing company in Melbourne) offered me a book deal for my book ‘Thank you for Feeding Freckle’. It will be hitting the shelves in Australia and New Zealand this June.

This story was inspired by feeding my friend's cat while they were away. Combining my graphic design and teaching skills with my love for cats and little humans, I created this book. ‘Thank you for feeding Freckle’ is a picture book for parents to read to children between two and six years old. The story walks the reader through feeding and caring for Freckle the cat.

‘Thank you for feeding Freckle’ introduces children to responsibility and care for animals while encouraging simple decision making. Activities and peek-a-boo flaps invites reader participation and helps to develop children's spatial awareness and fine motor skills. The bright, minimal graphics assist children with shape and colour recognition.
