Fitness mobile application design exercise

So....the gym app I have been using for the past year announced that they are merging with another app. The app I am using now will be no longer available. :(
So I downloaded the soon-to-be the app to try it out. I was amazed to discover how difficult it is to use, even just try to find the nearby gym. So I was wondering how I would make it differently. So Voila! Here it is.

So far, I have only done the landing screen. I may continue this fun exercise. At the meantime, let me know what do you think about this?
