Dicks Inn

Creating the experiential design for a restaurant or bar has long been a dream of mine and this year my bud Rogie King helped make it happen. Dicks Inn is our new bar popup!! With Rogie's incredible illustrations and my experiential design and strategy, we were able to create a REAL WEIRD, one-of-a-kind experience. Rogie and I have always bonded over our love of character acting, so at Dicks Inn, we transform into Dick King and Dick Lewis. I had fun developing the backstory and Rogie really committed to his role. The Dicks wore khaki coveralls and custom bucket hats. One of my favorite things about Dicks Inn, is when you're at Dicks Inn, you also become a Dick. You get a Dick nametag and you *must* go by Dick. We designed the drinks and lit them on fire and we talked in thick southern accents. Our shared love of tiki and americana was at the forefront, but this experience really shines because it's built on our unique friendship and I think that really shines through!
