DM4 kit – Home

DM4 is a component-based template for lower-tier clients that don't have the budget for a fully custom website. The idea originated from a noticeable loss in revenue and unrealistic expectation to quickly get sites live. The solution? a customized wireframe kit for designers and developers to follow when working with small budgets.

Ordinarily, the design team would be tasked with mocking up maybe two of the client's many pages. Once approved, the rest of the interior pages were left up to the dev team to figure out. This obviously was a major issue in our site-building process, which caused missed deadlines and unhappy customers.

Now, when our team is given a low budget site, the designers can focus on painting various components without worrying about page structure. There is no longer a question as to how certain things scale-down, what the typography should look like, or what color certain elements will be. We could now mockup a homepage and style guide in a day, hand off the mockups to dev, and have it ready to go by the end of the week.

I've got so many other components and pages to add to this project but for now, here are the initial homepage flavors our clients can choose from.
