Self Branding Refresh

I'm currently in the process of refreshing my brand identity. This was originally a slab serif logo (based off of Verlag), but I've chopped off the serifs and extended the descender/ascenders. The only part that survived from the original are the crossbars which I think define the essence of the logo. A lot of stuff is mis-aligned (i think) still.
