Design and develop your own branding system along with templates and guidelines can be very helpful especially when your design team works under a very tight delivery schedule.

In Unicorn Vision, we think that creating and using templates as the design guidelines for our clients is very efficient. Although keep using the same design layout over and over again can be visually boring, we treat it as an education and hand-off process to the in-house operation team of our clients. The in-house design team will have a base sense of how the design should look like when working on marketing campaigns and advertising, how to apply the color palette and how to align the visual elements.

Designers are free folk. Most of the designer hates to follow someone else design style. On the other hand, marketers are not. Marketers love to work on the copywriting, tracking campaign conversion, ROI and all types of analytics that can drive sales. It is a totally different mindset. That's why we do conclude that if we work on projects with marketing professionals, we probably do more groundwork, if we work on projects with designers, we will dive into the design research and discovery apart in order to inspire the designers to work, rather than telling designers the exact answer.
