Brief History of Time - Book Cover

In A Brief History of Time, Stephen Hawking attempts to explain a series of arguments in cosmology, including the Big Bang, black hole and light cones, to the non-specialist reader. The concept was to stir curiosity in the minds of any individual who takes a glance at the book cover design.

The use of ‘spacey’ colors and the center as a black hole is what makes the cover stand out from the usual science-fiction genre. I attempted an entirely unconventional method and worked with typography in a way that it highlights the fading away of time, as mentioned in the book’s chapters.
