Decepticon Crest

Tribal Tattoo rendition of the Decepticons Crest from the retro cartoon series "Transformers".

My Design Process:

After research, and since the design is symmetrical, I draw with pencil on paper one of the sides and then I scanned it. When the scanning is complete, I clean it in Ps, and import it in Ai. In Ai I draw on top of it with the Pen tool. Every anchor point is manipulated by hand. After the vectorizing is complete, I duplicate and mirror one of the sides. Afterwards, I connect the seams between the two sides. Finally, I find the right color scheme for the design and organize the layers in groups.
