Invision Studio's Start Screen (Improvement suggestion)
Background
I've been using Invision Studio for most of my work these days and the app excels in exporting stuff directly to its web platform to get feedback from stakeholders and do developer handoffs. đź‘Ś
Since I am using it on a daily basis, I noticed a few improvements here and there so just sharing one today.
⚠️The issue
The start / splash screen shows all the files that I've opened in the last few days which is fine but it is unclear whether I saved the file or not as Invision doesn't support auto-saving like Figma.
Also, I think giving a gist of the file size will help too as Invision gets slower when the file size starts going larger than 5 MB (in my case). This would help me take an informed call on when to start a new file and freeze the work on the existing one because of its size.
âś…The solution
Instead of showing "Last viewed" label, we can show a “Last saved” and “File size” label together.
Also, I think the labels not quite dark in color resulting in getting equal attention as the file names. We can tone down the label color to say #444444 so users can focus on the file's name first and focus on the additional secondary labels when required.
Attached a Before / After image with this shot. Would love to know what @InVisionApp Studio team thinks of this.
