Night Mode Direction (GPS)

Hello! 👋

While CityMapper and Google Maps offer many travel options, they don’t always suggest the safest routes according to my personal experiences.

As mentioned in my previous post, here is my proposed idea for a "night mode" GPS. The aim is to tailor for every user: Tackling the concerns of safety especially for a woman walking home, displaying a safer alternative and as well as allowing users themselves to decide.

1. Having the option to choose from two suggested routes. One is based on optimizing safety and one is for the shortest time travel.

2. For optimizing safety option, it should be generated/planned according to lighted streets, capturing details on crowds and local shophouses/ businesses nearby.

3. Able to detect dark alleys or areas with previous report criminal activities etc. in red to make known to users

4. Bottom route options - Should be able to show exact and more detailed direction when clicked on it
