Design System

I set out to learn about what design systems are, how they work and ultimately WHY we should build one for the product. As i started with mobile first approach, i jotted down the entire journey map of what all components i will need in the design system as it is not linear. I followed atomic design by Brad frost to break down the entire structure into atoms, molecules, organisms, templates and pages. Our Design System is an extension of our brand and personality within the product, and it help us to create a comfortable, easy to understand and inspiring environment for our urban millennial customer.
I initially created visual style guide and then slowly moved to component library structure. It was different but good experience as I had never worked on before. Let me know your feedback also it would be great if you can share your experiences working on design system :)
