Valentine's Tribute to Medical Staff
Starting my first post in 2020 in colour, because the world can use some of that.
Just read the story of Mrs. Zhang, who was tested positive for COVID-19, and paid tribute to her medical team after she was discharged from the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).
This comes a little late, but as we celebrate Valentine's Day yesterday, I want to pay tribute to all medical frontline medical staff–doctors, nurses, paramedics, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals. Thank you for treating and comforting patients, containing the virus from the further outbreak and eradicating fear. Thank you for showing courage, compassion in your service in this challenging time, which is not easy. The encouraging news is that out of the total 75 cases so far, 19 cases have been fully recovered and 56 mostly are "stable or improving".
Take heart, keep up the amazing work, and stay safe đź’—
