A Hairy Situation: Style Expression and Reality

I was watching a commercial where women who rocked less conventional hairstyles, shared what they heard other people say to them. While our crowning glory is our hair, I noticed that a lot of times it was also the subject of ridicule. Too curly? Too straight? Too dry? Too colorful? Too childish.

But how we do our hair does not speak everything about us. Yes, sometimes it can make us look a little disheveled but a hair color or style that’s different is not always indicative of an unprofessional individual. Let people express who they are in their clothes and hairstyles. Let’s be KINDER in reality.
