Summer at SEM Mood Board

At 829 Studios, mood boarding is an important step in the website design process. Mood boarding helps us understand the visual preferences of our clients as we dive into visual designs.

For this project, we pitched two directions. The first on the left: mature, familiar, cool, and calm. The second on the right: artistic, youthful, dynamic, experimental, and energetic.

Summer at SEM desired elements from both directions. We wove together a modern and traditional approach, pairing bright creative brush scripts with classical prep school serifs that harkened back to their academic roots.

This board also includes a few final elements we used in our website! Note the color palette, sans serifs, and script fonts.
