Broderie Anglaise Edgings

This is part of a personal project that was a bit of a personal indulgence if we're being totally honest. I did my research to come up with these broderie anglaise/lace-ish edgings for something else, and thought the effort of modulating and joining these pieces together deserved a post on their own. Had loads of fun, appalingly.

The background is an attempt at recreating the tiles on the wall of a metro station I happened to pass by on a random day. Think I did a pretty interesting job too.

Afterthoughts: should have paid attention to the alignment of the edgings' inner border with the grid below, there's some serious ugly bits out there, yikes.
