Rooster - The Smart Home Buying Assistant

The Problem I set out to solve with Rooster was that while there are many real estate search apps out there, there seems to be a gap between the browsing for properties and taking action in a way that can lead to a successful purchase.

This is because these apps don't educate the user regarding the process (lack of transparency) and are more intent on getting the user to apply for a mortgage with a broker instead of stopping to ask if the user could actually afford said mortgage (not user-centered and risky).

Rooster asks the user a set of questions to guide them through a pre-qualification process, and gives them an estimate of likelihood, up to 75%, that they will be approved for a mortgage should they apply.

Only then does Rooster link the user with a broker that will guide them through the mortgage application process, with the ease of mind that they will probably be approved, and be a low-risk loan since it has been determined that they are likely to make their payments responsibly.

In the event that a user's answers yield a low score, Rooster will present them with similar properties at more modest prices that more closely fit their criteria, with the goal of ensuring that the user finds a home that meets their needs and fits their budget.
