The Book of Maps

I had this idea for the cover of a new sketchbook I am working on filling with maps. I picked up my first fountain pen for drawing also and wanted to give it a proper test run. The concept for this cover I drew inside the book, as you can see in some of the slides.

I'm glad I took the time to test out the lettering, because the original reads more like "Book of Mads." lol.

Anyway, I will probably continue to doodle little details on the cover, but I'm pretty happy how it turned out, and I am totally sold on this new pen.
