School App in Neumorphism Style

Hi, guys! First off, we would like to thank all of you for your feedback on our previous post on Dribble and Facebook! We are thankful for your likes, rebounds, and comments of appreciation, as well as for your constructive criticism. Your response really means a lot to us.

What do you think about it? We want this post to become a sort of discussion, so feel free to share your opinions. Continuing a newly-established tradition, here is a link to Figma, where you can experience the app by yourself.

But speaking about your feedback, we’re a little bit confused since it appears that your views on Neumorphism are highly variable. While for some Neumorphism is a next-level design and an apogee of beauty (a little bit of an exaggeration here), for others it is nothing but just another “not-so-appealing” design trend that will not achieve any practical implementation.

Of course, there’s no need to continue disputes about the visual aesthetics, because it’s more of a personal matter and depends on your own definition of beauty. But the question of practical implementation is really interesting since it defines whether Neumorphism has a future or not.

So we asked ourselves - does Neumorphism suit for commercial purposes? To answer this question, we decided to apply this design technique to one of our projects related to education. It’s still almost a rough draft, but it should definitely give you an idea of how Neumorphism can be practically implemented.

Jason Kelley and Alexander Plyuto are the fathers of Neomorphism trend. About Neumorphism here.
