Daily UI #050 - Job Listing
Thoughts on Today’s Challenge
For today’s challenge, I wanted to focus on some solid UX design. I gathered assorted ideas from various shots around Dribble, and this is what I came up with.
I liked the fluid scannable layouts, so I tried to recreate that feeling here. The use of negative space is plentiful and intentional, creating an intuitive flow between each UI component. The first screen displays the high-level search of job listings, and the second screen displays a focused job listing. The content on the second screen was loosely conceptualized, but I am sure some very interesting metrics could be utilized to facilitate a more positive job searching experience.
Another concept that I gravitated towards was the idea of making job listings more precise. This goal can be achieved with the help of AI and algorithms that determine which jobs you are the best match for. We already see this type of technology with sites like LinkedIn, so I believe that we are very close to the next level of job searching. I hope to one day benefit from AI-enhanced job searching, hopefully, it is a positive experience and not world ending.
