Daily UI #043 - Drinks Menu
Thoughts
At first, my mind went in the print direction, and how I could design an elegant happy hour menu for a cocktail bar. Then I remembered, this is a UI challenge and I should switch gears.
After sketching and brainstorming, I landed on an exciting concept to base my design around. My concept for this UI design would be for a bar that has robots or AI serving you drinks. Unfortunately, I am not the first person to come up with this idea, you can see an example of an establishment like this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oo6G_Leek2w
Using that video as inspiration, I designed a UI that would be implemented for this type of business. My main goal was to make the experience as simple as possible since most of the customers will have lowered motor functions. The customers would either access the order menu from their phones or at designated kiosks. The four screens shown here display a simple user flow of the application
Some additional components I considered adding would be: A suggested pairings list, pre-constructed drinks, and sorting/filtering options. This round serves more like a prototype and proof of concept.
