The Story of a Canyon

The story of a canyon is the story of a river.

Painted this for my friends' nursery, as they're bringing a baby boy into this world soon. When I shared the original doodle on Instagram, the mother told me that it looks like a head emerging between two knees, or an egg, or two pillars representing parents protecting a new little fragile bubble.

Originally drawn as a tattoo for myself, which I'll probably still get, along with a mountain on the other arm.
