Makers till We Die
"Let's be makers till we die" is the final line in a poem titled, "Makers" by my great-grandfather, Deckard Ritter.
He was a poet for seven decades. Making something special, using your craft and exercising your humanity was his imperative. "With dresses, mercy, songs, or pie; Let's be makers till we die." And that's exactly what he did. Deckard's final poem was drafted the day he passed away.
Keep making, friends. Whatever your craft may be.
