Encrypt

Straight out of the scanner with no retouching aside from applying a quick color overlay for show. In progress. I liked how my folded type idea could expand conceptually. With data encryption and security on the rise, I liked manipulating the word "Encrypt" to make it look like it's crumbling or being stowed away. I chose a serif typeface (Garamond) and the muted rose pairing to symbolize old and new data (the design style is dated, but is currently trending again—therefore, relevant). When I think about the decades of information at risk for breaching, I wonder how security will continue to evolve as people and machines get smarter.
