Red Sox Scores: April 26, 2017

Game No. 020

After a two-day layoff — a scheduled day off followed by a rain out — the Red Sox opened the season series with their rival, the New York Yankees. Rick Porcello lost his third straight game, giving up a two-run home run that rookie Aaron Judge sent into the right field bleachers, despite an otherwise solid performance. Boston showed some life in the ninth inning, scoring their only run and bringing the tying run to the plate, but fell just short against World-Series-winning closer Aroldis Chapman.

For every Red Sox game this season, @Amy Parker and I will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red.
