Ikea Platform

My role on this project was to take lead on the creation of a responsive on-boarding platform for IKEA.

IKEA have many new employees starting roles in different stores, in different areas of the business, so there is a lot of information that needs to be sent to the new starter, and lots of information that needs to be signed and sent back to IKEA. Therefore, IKEA wanted to create an online platform that helps ease this process, and hope to keep their employees interested during this period.

The hotspot and progress bar approach was taken on the main co-worker dashboard, so that IKEA’s new starters would feel like this process is more fun and less of a painful experience than to have to sit and read through hundreds of print outs.

When the new starter opens a hotspot, there will either be relevant information for them to read, a document for them to digitally sign, or a video for them to watch, which will count towards their on boarding progress.

HR and admin account holders are able to upload files/ documents/ videos to these hotspots, receive relevant information when the co-worker has completed it, and find out individual co-worker progress.

It’ll be interesting to see if this works!

P.s - the sizing of the elements on this design aren't correct due to enlarging it to put on dribbble! But just as a general idea...
