Case Study: Recreating Focus Lab site Wireframes
Hey All!
My first Dribbble post and first post for 2017. Starting off on the right foot for a new year by posting things much more frequently. This is a case study that I finished for reviewing @Bill S Kenney and @Focus Labs site wireframing style on their approach to web design. Recreated with Sketch App from Adobe Illustrator CC 2017. The purpose of the study was to scrub the site project with a fine comb to understand font choices/attributes, object positioning, and how to keep things simple, but effective. Also, I wanted to take this opportunity to fully embrace the Sketch App for web and logo designs here on out. I have been an advocate Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator user for years but felt the need to make the change.
I have been a fan of Focus Lab's work for about 6 years now. I studied design layout approaches, logo styles, animated transitions, typography, color palettes, object spacing, etc. What's even more mind-blowing was when I had the opportunity to meet them in person at Creative South 2016 to ask questions regarding specific projects.
For 2017, I think I'm ready to start showcasing my personal work to the public. Besides web design and graphic design, I am also a 3D Generalist for film and video games. I plan to show my work here on that as well. I just figured my first post should give homage to the folks that really changed the game for me in my career. I hope you all enjoy it.
