06 | Joy Crookes — Skin

This record is beautiful in every single way. Joy Crookes' debut album has it all: a superb and elegant vibe mixed with sensual touches of jazz and soul that Joy uses to take us into an intimate and honest narrative that delves into relationships, identity and her culture. And while the album's production is reminiscent of the work of the greats Amy Winehouse, Jorja Smith and even Adele, there is something about the way in which Joy delivers that makes her songs so distinctive and powerful. La crème de la crème.
