This album was also one of my most anticipated for this year. During quarantine last year I had the pleasure of stumbling upon the music of Charlotte Day Wilson and from the first song I heard of hers, I knew that this girl was going to serve bops and vocals on her debut album, and well, I was right. ALPHA is a compilation of songs —mostly ballads— infused with a soft R&B, majestic instrumentals, and dreamy features (Syd, Daniel Caesar, King Princess) that sound like the colors of a summer Sunday morning.
