Redesign Little Lemon's App : UI/UX Case Study
Hey everyone!
This is my submission for the peer-graded assignment of Meta's Professional Certificate Principles of UX/UI Design Course. This project is about designing a Table Reservation Feature for a fictional restaurant called Little Lemon.
Little Lemon is a restaurant that offers the best healthy food options in town. Little Lemon offers dine-in, takeout, and delivery options via their App. This feature is important for busy professionals who don't have much time to cook and prefer healthy options.
I used Design Thinking principles in developing this project to keep the user at the center of the design process, covering its five critical steps: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test.
THE PROBLEM
On the Little Lemon App, the available information is inconsistent, leaving users confused about the steps to place an order. For example, the dish information page lacks an "add" button, making it difficult for users to proceed with their orders.
In addition, the table reservation function feels unintuitive, making it difficult for users to book a table to dine in. There's no clear option to select dates and times, and the process of filling out the form feels takes a long time.
DEFINING THE PROBLEMS
How can we redesign a better experience and create a consistent interface for customers, so they can save time when ordering food?
