Landing page for a Green Finance Company

I took the opportunity to work on a sample casestudy challenge for Ecovest - a new platform connecting NGOs with grant funding institutions. For this case study, my task was to build a landing page, an intake form, and explain my thought process and research. In this blog post, I will share my design process and the value proposition I designed for the platform.

About Ecovest

Ecovest is a platform that connects NGOs working in the climate space with grant funding institutions efficiently.

The Value Proposition

The value proposition for the platform is, "Invest in a better future with us. Ecovest connects you with game-changing NGOs to maximize your impact in the fight against climate change! Together, we can make a difference." The title clearly communicates the platform's core function, and the subtitle highlights how it maximizes the funder's impact by connecting them with the right NGOs. It also emphasizes the urgency of the climate crisis and how Ecovest can be a trusted partner in this journey to make a good impact on the world around us.

TITLE

Reason: Clearly depicts the core function of the platform. This will clearly communicate to the funders that we understand their key needs and can help them with solutions.

SUBTITLE

Ecovest connects you with game changing NGOs to maximize your impact in the fight against climate change! Together, we can make a difference.

Reason: Details how Ecovest would maximize the impact of the funder by connecting them to the right NGOs. It also highlights the urgency of the climate crisis and how Ecovest can be a trusted partner in this journey to make a good impact on the world around us.

Services

Breaking down the value proposition into smaller digestible components will make it easy for funders to imagine the impact. Using icons or images to visually represent the impact would be helpful.

Intake Form

To design an efficient intake form, I used the 5WH approach to understand what information would be needed to quickly show relevant results to the funders. The questions were grouped into two main sections - organization details and funding information. The intake form also includes an 'other information' section at the bottom, which allows funders to share any special requests or ask questions.

The questions in the final form was grouped in an efficient manner to reduce cognitive load. The 2 main sections were organization details and funding information. The ‘other information’ section at the bottom would allow the funders to share any special requests or ask questions.

Wireframes

To provide an efficient and user-friendly experience, I designed wireframes for the landing page, sign-up page, and the final intake form. The wireframes were made for both the web and phone formats.

Visual Design direction

After designing the wireframes, I transformed them into high-fidelity visual designs. I chose a green-blue color palette to highlight the platform's dedication to both sustainability and funding. The font Montserrat was used, and a rounded rectangle shape was used to depict a balance between practicality and approachability. The overall design approach is clean and features gradients and high-quality photographs to create an elegant and modern aesthetic.
