Imago Dei

I had some personality training over the weekend and the head instructor talked about 'imago dei' which means "Image of God". There are a few meanings that follow along with this idea, one of which is that we are made in God's image - and with that I am "fearfully and wonderfully made".

Comparing ourselves to others will, more often than not, result in either a self-righteous view or a self-pitiful view. Neither of which are necessarily a good thing. But, we are who we are in the eyes of God, nothing more and nothing less, and that brings me peace of mind.
