Groovy Mom

This year, I illustrated my mom dressed up in the outfit that I ALWAYS remember her in. She has her moments when she can dress (which is usually for work or events). Otherwise, you’ll find this woman dressed in anything she pretty much thinks is comfortable without so much as caring if they match or not.

Pictured is her notable green beanie, or as she likes to call it, bonnet. Her red Toms that used to be mine, so they’re a little beat up (but she likes it) paired with black socks, I know, but it’s a thing. Then she has her oversized sweater, oversized scarf and oversized t-shirt. She’s a weirdo. But I love her :)

This year she bought her first smart phone, yes people, she BARELY got on that train. She got her first iPhone and her very own sparkly gold case. She emailed me the day after she bought it saying that, “I love my new phone, I feel so GROOOOVY!!!”
